Kerrie Update for April 17, 2014

Finally some positive news to report.  Kerrie had a good day yesterday and it appears that the ICU and medical staff are treating her infection effectively and her vital signs have been improving the last two days.  Her heart rate is normal and blood pressure has stabilized with only minor medication to support it.  The nursing staff feels that the mucositis in her mouth appears better and her lungs sound better and clearer.  Her white blood cell count ticked up yesterday and stayed at the same level today.  The mucositis severity and white blood cell count are important indicators so everyone pays close attention to these.

We are tempering our optimism because sustained improvement may take weeks but regardless we are happy to report what look to be two consecutive positive days.

Please keep Kerrie in your thoughts and prayers.

We remain grateful for everyone’s overwhelming support
