Kerrie was transferred to the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ on Monday, 6/16. Since then she has been receiving intensive treatments designed to help her emerge from the coma. She has been receiving three hours of physical and occupational therapy in addition to specialized treatments involving light and other sensory stimuli. She has been doing well in responsing to the treatments and they were able to cap her tracheal breathing tube after she arrived.
We don’t know at the moment how long she may be at Kessler. She will continue to get intensive treatments and the key is for her to continue to demonstrate improvement.
Thanks very much for your continued support. Please keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming.
